This is my rendering of the Loveland Frogman, a creature first reported in 1955 along a lonely road near Loveland. A lone driver claimed he saw three figures about three to four feet tall with gray leathery skin, webbed hands and feet, and distinctly frog-like faces, and watched as one raised a wand that seemed to spark. Seventeen years later, a police officer encountered a similar creature, first mistaking it for a dog before it stood upright, stared back at him, and leapt over a guardrail into the river. There is no clear evidence, only witness accounts and interpretations like this one, continuing to shape the mystery of the creature today.
My Loveland Frogman was drawn in pencil and liquid graphiteon 8 by 10 inch, 140-pound cold-pressed paper, hand-ripped at the edges, with touches of gold to catch the suggestion of movement… and maybe a little magic.
