DESCRIPTION:

Each year, the strange and extraordinary return to life at the enigmatic KW Art Market on 44 Gaukel Street in Kitchener, Ontario. Beneath twinkling lights and moody soundscapes, a gathering of peculiar artists and vendors unfurls its wonders. Strange artworks, offbeat crafts, and unconventional gifts await, transforming the market into a treasure trove for seekers of the one-of-a-kind. Year after year, visitors embrace the unconventional and depart with rare finds, as more than 30 artists and vendors gather to weave their eccentric visions into the night.

And always, there is The Beasting. As tradition dictates, four live painters conjure monstrous body parts upon canvas, then join forces to assemble an 8-foot-tall beast before the crowd. Two incredible teams rise to the stage each evening—Friday and Saturday—ensuring no two Beasting rituals are ever alike.

At the heart of it all stands the Juno and Emmy award–winning artist known as My Pet Skeleton, who hosts the event and unveils his own darkly beautiful works. Those wishing to glimpse further into his world may do so at www.mypetskeleton.com.
