Print Type: Etching Zinc Plate with Chin Collé

This intaglio print was made in 2002.
The print was created by using a combination of photo and hand etching techniques onto a metallic zinc plate. I used a process known as "chine collé" to add a translucent creamy layer of colour to pop out the image. There are strands of silver silk behind the print which are iridescent when it catches the right light. It's a subtle but beautiful effect.
There were only 5 printed.
There are currently only 2 artist proofs available printed on a light grey coloured heavy poundage paper.
Each print is signed by the artist.
The piece will be packed flat and safely secured within several layers of cardboard.
