This piece was inspired by an old myth known as "The Wild Hunt". In German folklore, it refers to the sightings of a group of supernatural hunters passing in wild pursuit. Seeing the Hunt was thought to be a warning sign of imminent catastrophe such as war or plague.
I tried to imagine what the leader of "the Wild Hunt" would look like in this piece. My minds eye placed him calling out to nature, and giving her ample warning before his celestial cohorts were about to make a dark mark on a 'civilized' world.
Each print is signed and numbered by yours truly and is created with archival pigment inks on fine heavyweight, museum quality paper.
Each piece will be carefully packed inside an acid free sleeve and fully protected by a VERY thick craft tube.
