This is a one of a kind mixed media experiment that I had a LOT of fun with. I loved the idea of making an old fashioned "Wanted" poster in search of one of my favourite cryptids... "The Jersey Devil".
I started with a gel printing technique to grab my digital image onto a very thick hand ripped piece of paper with a black acrylic base. I then painted into it and drew in the fine details. I used some image transfer techniques to add in some of the typography to give it an halftone effect but painted the "Wanted" by hand... I added gold foil embellishments which really makes the monochromatic piece pop and gives it a expensive looking feel.
Torn Paper Size: Approximately 11" by 9"
NOTE ~ This piece would look incredible in a floating frame to feature the torn edges
